Sonoma State University's Master of Arts in Organization Development program has been ranked No. 9 on the list of the "50 Most Affordable Master's in Organizational Behavior Degree Programs 2016" by HumanResourcesMBA.net.

Organizational behavior is a multidisciplinary field and draws on knowledge from psychology, business, sociology, political science and more. These degrees often go under other names, including organizational leadership, organizational management, and industrial psychology. Many of these programs are designed for working students, and there are quality online Master's in organizational behavior degrees available for students who need flexible schedules.

Although most organizational behavior jobs lie in academia, this degree has wide applicability in a number of different fields. The theories and techniques taught in these programs help prepare students to be leaders and managers of large organizations, such as corporations, churches and nonprofit organizations. After earning a master of organizational behavior degree, students can qualify for a number of positions, including management consultants, human resources managers, executive positions and more.

The survey used the NCES College Navigator tool to find all 91 schools in the United States that offered some type of organizational behavior degree at the graduate level. Those schools that didn't offer at least an accredited master's in organizational behavior were removed from the list. The remaining schools were sorted according to their average annual graduate costs, including tuition and fees. Where applicable, the in-state tuition rate was used to compute the cost of these programs.
