Men's basketball: Saturday loss eliminates Seawolves from playoff race
Despite a valiant effort and several close comebacks, the Sonoma State men's basketball team fell to the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors Saturday, 62-68 at home. The loss eliminated the Seawolves' chance to advance to the CCAA Tournament as the Warriors clinched the sixth and final playoff spot. The Seawolves drop to 11-13 overall and 8-12 in conference play.
Women's basketball: Seawolves lose final home game to Cal State Stanislaus
In the 2014-15 home finale for the women's basketball team, the Seawolves weren't able to celebrate with a victory as they lost 36-53 to Cal State Stanislaus Saturday night at the Wolves' Den. The Seawolves see their record drop to 4-16 overall, 6-19 in conference play.
Baseball: Seawolves swept by Cal State L.A.
Sonoma State starter Devin Bradley gave a superb performance, giving up only three hits and one run throughout five innings, but it wasn't enough as the Seawolves fell to CSU Los Angeles, 0-4. Cal State L.A.'s Icezack Flemming pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Golden Eagles to a 4-0 victory over the Seawolves Sunday, completing their sweep in this four game series. With the loss, the Seawolves fell to 3-7 overall, 0-4 in conference play.
Softball: Seawolves salvage double-header with nightcap victory
After losing to Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros 1-6 in the opener, the Sonoma State Softball team returned fire in game two with a three-run fourth inning and took the win with a final score of 5-1. The Seawolves rise to 9-3 this season.
Men's tennis: Seawolves lose to Slugs 4-5
The men's tennis team suffered a 4-5 loss to visiting UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. The men's tennis team fell to 1-4 on the year, the Banana Slugs rose to 2-4.
Women's tennis: Seawolves give slugs generous dose of sodium
The Sonoma State women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over visiting UC Santa Cruz on Saturday to improve to 4-3 this season. Leire Martinez got off to a slow start in the first set, but rallied for the 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. All other Seawolves swept past their opponents with ease for the 9-0 shutout.
